About Rachel
Just because you struggle with reading does not mean you are stupid! Reading is a complex and unnatural process in the brain! Many highly intelligent people throughout history were also struggling readers—including Walt Disney, Leonardo Da Vinci, Albert Einstein, Thomas Edison, and Agatha Christie. Each of them struggled with reading, and were not only very intelligent, but went on to do amazing things! Reading struggles are not a sign of intelligence. As an experienced Elementary teacher, I have taught many struggling readers. I know I can help you, too!

I am an experienced Elementary teacher—teaching all Elementary subjects. I am trained in the Science of Reading and structured Literacy, and my specialty is in multisyllabic word reading and spelling. I also teach reading comprehension, grammar, writing, math, science, and social studies. My specialty, however, is reading.
