About Kerry
I'm a certified reading interventionist with 13 years of experience as an elementary school teacher. Teaching reading is my passion! I provide targeted, multisensory instruction to students aged 6-10 to support their development of foundational literacy skills, including phonological awareness, phonics, fluency, vocabulary, and comprehension. My instruction is individualized to meet the specific needs of each student, and sessions are tailored to students' learning styles and interests. Making learning fun and building confidence is the heart of my work with students!

Lessons target students' individual needs and include various multisensory activities that keep lessons engaging and fun. I incorporate games that allow students to learn through play and provide practice opportunities that help students gain confidence. A typical lesson includes a warm-up/review, explicit modeling of the targeted skill, guided practice, a mid-session break, independent application of the targeted skill, and ends with a review/celebration of the day's learning.
