About Molly
I am a Special Education Teacher with a Masters in Education, and specialize in teaching literacy skills, writing skills, and working with children who struggle with reading comprehension, fluency, and writing. I am currently a Cotsen Fellow. In addition to teaching my class, I also provide tutoring for intervention students at this school.

I base my lessons on the needs of my students- I focus on using Reading and Writing Workshops methodology, and use material that generates high student engagement. My lessons consist of collaborative and independent work, with a focus on inquiry into topics of study. I work at an Inter Baccalaureate school, so student inquiry is a main pillar of our lessons. Since a portion of my work is teaching remedial comprehension and fluency, I use mini lessons and individual conferences to monitor performance in addition to whole group lessons. By combining these two types of lesson instruction, it allows me to monitor student progress quickly and efficiently, and tailor my lessons to reach all learners.
