About Alfie

I am an experienced A level and GCSE tutor specialising in the tutoring of STEM subjects. Currently I am studying Electronic and Computer Engineering at the University of Sheffield, hence my specialisation in the STEM field.

I have past experience in the tutoring of mathematics and years of experience teaching photography and digital post production. The teaching of photography and how to use the Adobe Creative Cloud suite thoroughly excites me. Having worked as a studio and wedding/events photographer I can bring a professional point of view to the teaching of Arts subjects and the creation of portfolios.

Additionally, I can assist with exam preparation both in general and subject specific areas both at GCSE and A Level standards. Having completed the 11+ entry exams within the last decade, just, I have first hand experience on how to pass them successfully. Therefore, I can aid in the learning of both verbal and non-verbal reasoning along with preparing for the exams themselves.

Currently, I am only delivering lessons online due to the extraordinary circumstances we are all experiencing. However, I have a vast knowledge in the use of digital tools so believe that I can still deliver lessons to the highest quality.

About the lesson

I provide lessons in Photoshop and CAD for all ages. I structure my lessons in a concise and engaging way, thoroughly explaining the concepts needed to be covered and ensuring a good understanding by my students has been achieved.

My teaching style is very visual, explaining design concepts in ways that create both and interesting lesson and ease with the understanding of the subject matter.
