I am an electrical engineer with MSc from UBC.
Undergrad Teaching Assistant for the Calculus I, II, and III and circuits and power theory
Graduate Teaching Assistant for Power Quality, Advanced Power electronics, Power system dynamics
Main focus of the research and study: i) Signal estimation and system identification theory, ii) Artificial intelligence (Artificial neural networks, Fuzzy logic, etc.), machine learning and advanced optimization, iii) Systems and control theory (linear, modern, digital, nonlinear, adaptive, predictive and optimal).

I have more experience with the course based teaching: e.g. the students are already registered in a course that is slightly far from their background (such as civil students taking the electrical courses), and I focus on their textbook by spending a few days on learning the methods and terminology used in their course. So my teaching would be the extended version of the original course with much more examples and details of the methods all in the original course terminology.
I also would love to have more advanced teaching for those who are working on a research that requires artificial intelligence for example. In that case, I will start the general concept of the artificial intelligence, while moving towards the areas of interest for the student by further discussion at every session.
