About Shu
Graduating from The Juilliard School with a Bachelor of Music in Music Performance provided the foundation for my 7 years of teaching. Ever wonder why some practice sessions feel like work while others produce actual results? I teach guitar full time after years of working in studios and performing on stage.
My approach keeps things practical so you hear progress immediately. I have taught 313 students throughout my career. Expect direct feedback, clear guidance, and zero fluff.

Focusing on grade exam prep and electric technique ensures that our time together remains high value. Since I hold a degree from The Juilliard School, I emphasize songwriting and rhythm guitar fundamentals to build a strong musical ear.
Strumming patterns and improvisation provide the core of our work. New students receive a free trial session to assess starting levels and set clear expectations.
We integrate soloing techniques into every practice routine. The learning process should be challenging, but it should also be satisfying—and, most importantly, it should help you enjoy making music.
