About Steffanie
Hello! I’m Steffanie Edwards, founder of Brain Boost Tutoring and an educator with 23 years of teaching experience. I hold a bachelor’s degree in Middle Grades Education, a master’s degree in Postsecondary Education, and an Education Specialist degree in Curriculum Instruction Management and Administration. I also hold Georgia certification in Middle Grades English Language Arts, with endorsements in Reading, Gifted Education, and Coaching.
My experience spans elementary classrooms, GED and high school education, and virtual ELA tutoring. I especially enjoy helping students turn “I don’t understand” into “I can do this!”
You can expect a prepared, patient, and encouraging tutor who explains concepts clearly and adapts instruction to your needs. I welcome questions, celebrate progress, and provide thoughtful feedback. I also communicate with families about the skills we practice and our next steps.
My goal is to help you strengthen your skills, grow in confidence, and take pride in your learning.

Does reading feel frustrating? Is writing a struggle? I help students build stronger reading, writing, and grammar skills through encouraging, personalized lessons that make learning approachable.
With 23 years of teaching experience and an Education Specialist degree, I know how to break challenging skills into manageable steps. My RISE method helps me meet students where they are and guide their progress.
Each lesson includes a quick review, clear examples, guided practice, and engaging activities. We might investigate clues in a story, strengthen a paragraph, or practice grammar through a game. Students leave with a clear understanding of what they practiced and what comes next.
My virtual ELA lessons are primarily for grades 2–9, whether your child needs extra support or a new challenge. I create a welcoming space where students can ask questions, learn from mistakes, and celebrate progress.
