About Alecia
I have worked in the field of education for 22 years. I spent time as a pre-school teacher and director and then over a decade working in the field of special education, specifically working with high school population. I primarily taught English and math and worked closely with general educations teachers to ensure that curriculum was being accessed by all students at all levels.

I design and provide engaging reading and writing instruction that allows students to increase their skills in the area of decoding, comprehension and the ability to answer related questions using textual evidence. I will also provide mini lessons that focus on what skills my students may be finding too challenging.
