About Tay
Hello! I’m Yoona Tay, an enthusiastic Mandarin tutor with a passion for helping students thrive. As an SPM graduate with 9A’s, I understand the importance of a strong foundation. My experience teaching primary and secondary schoolers has taught me patience, creativity, and how to make learning enjoyable—especially for kids! I believe every student learns differently, so I adapt my methods to keep lessons engaging, whether through games, stories, or real-life practice. Seeing my students grow in confidence is why I love teaching. Let’s embark on this language journey together!

Learning Mandarin opens doors to a rich culture and exciting opportunities. My approach focuses on making lessons interactive, practical, and fun. Whether you’re a beginner or looking to refine your skills, I tailor each session to your goals—from conversational fluency to mastering characters.
I use real-life scenarios, games, and multimedia tools to keep lessons dynamic. Together, we’ll build confidence in speaking, listening, reading, and writing, while exploring cultural nuances. Let’s turn challenges into victories—one character at a time!
