About Mariya
As an Educational Therapist, I design interventions to help individuals of all ages navigate learning challenges. I work with students of all ability levels, including those who do not readily respond to traditional teaching methods.
I help students use highly visual learning strategies to improve their ability to process information and break down confusing content into manageable parts. I also help students plan their tasks, get organized, overcome procrastination, and understand how they learn best.

Welcome! If you or your child struggles with math, reading, or writing, in K-12, I can help.
Each lesson begins with an overview of the topic to make sure we get organized and can successfully cover the material.
We then use a variety of learning aids, such as diagrams, color-coding, and other visual and verbal cues to make complex material more explicit and approachable.
We do a few practice rounds together so that the student gains confidence in using the learning aids.
Finally, the student applies what they learned to independent problem-solving, reading, and writing tasks.
