About Kara
I am a passionate Violin tutor with 6 years of experience, successfully guiding approximately 150 students through different stages of their musical development. My focus is on building comprehensive skills that help students become independent and confident musicians.
My tutoring method emphasises strong technical foundations, including posture alignment, bow coordination, finger strength, and accurate intonation. As students advance, I introduce expressive techniques, advanced bow strokes, and performance training.
I integrate music theory, rhythm exercises, and listening practice to strengthen overall musicianship. Each lesson is structured yet flexible to match the student’s pace and goals.
One of my unique abilities is maintaining a balance between discipline and encouragement. I motivate students to push their limits while ensuring they feel supported throughout their journey. My goal is to nurture skilled, confident, and passionate violinists who truly enjoy making music.

I believe that learning violin should be structured, practical, and inspiring. My teaching style is based on open communication where students feel free to ask questions and share their difficulties.
I adapt my lessons to match different learning styles and ensure that no student feels left behind.
Along with violin performance training, I teach music theory, rhythm exercises, ear training, sight reading, basic composition, and performance etiquette.
I use real-life examples such as preparing for recitals, handling stage pressure, and working in orchestras to make lessons meaningful. I also explain how professional violinists practise and manage their time.
By connecting technical training with real performance situations, students gain confidence and clarity. My goal is to shape disciplined, confident, and expressive musicians.
