About Jonathan
I bring professionalism, enthusiasm, and experience as a Superprof tutor. I am a native speaker of American English, will be pursuing graduate studies in English language and literature, have worked as a proofreader and editor since 2017, have published several works of creative writing, and earned top grades in my upper-division literature courses. I am also dedicated to personal development and continuing education.
Above all, I take pride in my work and put my heart and soul into everything that I take on.

As an English tutor, my teaching philosophy is centered around creating a supportive and effective learning environment.
Here's a brief overview of how we work together:
1. I assess your proficiency level, goals, and specific areas you would like to focus on (e.g., speaking, writing essays, reading comprehension, grammar).
2. Each lesson is tailored to your individual needs.
3. Lessons are designed to take advantage of what you already know and build upon it. I also provide resources for self study outside of our scheduled tutoring sessions. Students who devote time to regular practice will gain greater confidence as they approach mastery as speakers, readers, and writers.
Lessons are designed for grades 9 through college.
