About Jack
I started learning guitar when I was 10 years old, and coming from a musical family, music quickly became a natural passion of mine. A few years ago, I started teaching students of all ages at a school in North London. On top of this, I run live music events and produce music for myself and other artists.
Over the years, music has been a part of me, not only as a skill but as a way to be creative, disciplined, and expressive. I understand what it feels like to be a beginner, so I aim to make my lessons patient, encouraging, and easy to follow.
As a tutor, I focus on creating a relaxed and professional learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes, and improving at their own pace. My goal is to help each student build confidence, enjoy the process of learning, and develop strong foundations that they can continue to grow from.

Hi, I’m Jack. I’m a friendly and patient guitar tutor who focuses on helping students build confidence, technique, and musical understanding at their own pace. My lessons are practical, relaxed, and tailored to each student’s goals, whether that means learning favourite songs, improving chords and rhythm, developing fingerstyle, understanding music theory, or preparing for performances.
I teach using a clear step-by-step approach, combining technique exercises with real songs so lessons stay enjoyable and useful. A typical lesson lasts 30 to 60 minutes, depending on the student’s age, level, and aims. I'll always aim to cater my lessons to students' individual preferences and passions so they have the most fun possible!
My lessons are suitable for beginners and developing players of all ages, including children, teenagers, and adults. Whether you are picking up the guitar for the first time or want to improve your playing, I can help you progress in a supportive and encouraging way.

I had been playing guitar for a couple of years before I started having lessons with Jack, he helped me to fix some technique which I hadn't properly picked up after learning solo and guided me through some fingerstyle pieces on my nylon, great teacher and would highly recommend.
I'd definitely recommend Jack to anyone looking to learn guitar in a supportive, patient, and encouraging environment. Jack gave lessons to my 11 year old for 6 months teaching him ACDC and Guns n Roses and he had a great time and always wanted to play more guitar when he got home!
