About Jake
Hi, I’m Jake! I grew up in the UK and first started tutoring by helping my two younger sisters with their schoolwork, especially in economics. That soon expanded to supporting their friends through GCSEs and A-Levels (similar to Years 10–12 in Australia). I went on to study Politics and Economics at Newcastle University, graduating with First Class Honors. Now based in Sydney, I’m passionate about making economics enjoyable and accessible, and I love helping students build confidence and achieve their best.

My lessons make economics clear, engaging, and easy to understand. I have previously tutored UK students preparing for their GCSEs and A-Levels, which is equivalent to Australian Years 10–12, and I now support high school students here with the same approach. I break down complex ideas into simple, practical explanations that link directly to real-world examples. Each session is tailored to the student’s needs, whether that’s exam preparation, essay writing, or gaining confidence in key topics like supply and demand, markets, or government policy. Based in Sydney and available online, I create a supportive environment to help students achieve their best.
