About Genevieve

My interest in economics started with curiosity about markets, finance, and human behaviour. I pursued a Bachelor’s in Economics, gaining solid knowledge of theory, policy, and real-world applications. Over 7 years, I have guided students in building both conceptual understanding and practical analytical skills, helping them gain confidence in academics and real-life applications.

I teach using a structured, patient, and supportive approach. Concepts are broken down step by step, with real-life examples and interactive exercises. I encourage students to question, explore, and apply economic reasoning, reinforcing understanding and critical thinking. Each student receives individual attention to ensure steady growth and confidence.

Beyond teaching, I engage with economic research, case studies, and market analysis, keeping lessons relevant and current. Teaching economics is deeply fulfilling because I witness students develop analytical skills, confidence, and curiosity. Helping learners see the relevance of economics in everyday life, think critically, and apply knowledge effectively is one of the most rewarding aspects of my work.

About the lesson

Economics becomes meaningful when learners can connect theory to daily life and global trends. My lessons cover microeconomics, macroeconomics, supply-demand, market structures, fiscal policies, and practical financial analysis. I use simple language, real-world examples, and structured explanations to help students understand how concepts operate in practice. Each lesson emphasises critical thinking, problem-solving, and connecting theory with data, fostering both academic success and practical understanding. My goal is to make economics approachable, engaging, and relevant so that students develop confidence in applying concepts in both exams and real-life scenarios.

Lessons are tailored to student levels. Beginners explore foundational principles like supply-demand curves, basic calculations, and simple economic models. Intermediate learners work on elasticity, market equilibrium, monetary policies, and applied problem-solving. Advanced learners focus on macroeconomic modelling, fiscal policy analysis, international economics, and interpreting real-world economic data. I integrate exercises, case studies, and guided reasoning to ensure comprehension, retention, and analytical skill development.

Studying economics also strengthens logical thinking, decision-making, and analytical reasoning. Students learn to assess problems, weigh options, and make informed decisions in academic or professional contexts. They gain confidence in interpreting data, evaluating policies, and understanding economic trends.
