About Calia
I have 10 years of experience teaching Economics to students preparing for exams, university study, and stronger real-world understanding of financial systems. I earned a B.A in International Economics, which provided strong grounding in global markets, policy analysis, and the economic forces shaping modern societies. This academic background allows me to teach economics with both theoretical clarity and practical relevance.
My teaching style is supportive, structured, and focused on helping learners think independently. I enjoy guiding students through economic models step by step, ensuring they understand the reasoning behind graphs and theories rather than memorising definitions. I create a calm learning environment where students feel encouraged to ask questions and explore ideas openly.
Outside tutoring, I stay engaged with economics through reading on global financial trends, policy developments, and modern economic debates. Teaching economics is meaningful to me because students often gain not only academic success, but also a deeper understanding of the world. Supporting learners as they grow in confidence and critical thinking is one of the most rewarding parts of my work.

Economics becomes far more meaningful when students learn to connect theories to the real decisions societies make every day. In my lessons, I guide learners through microeconomics, macroeconomics, supply and demand, market structures, inflation, trade, and policy analysis with clear explanation and supportive discussion. I focus on helping students understand the logic behind economic systems, so they can approach graphs, models, and exam questions with confidence. Each session encourages curiosity about how economies function and how individuals, businesses, and governments interact.
Lessons are personalised to each student’s level. Beginners build foundations in basic economic vocabulary, simple demand and supply diagrams, and introductory market reasoning. Intermediate learners strengthen understanding of elasticity, production costs, fiscal policy, and macroeconomic indicators. Advanced students explore deeper topics such as international trade theory, development economics, evaluation writing, and exam-level analytical essays. Practice tasks and feedback are included in every lesson.
Economics lessons help students develop critical thinking, structured reasoning, and a clearer understanding of the world around them. Over time, learners become confident discussing economic challenges with evidence and logic. My goal is to help students succeed academically while also discovering economics as a powerful tool for understanding society.
