About Kenna

My interest in economics developed from a desire to understand how resources are allocated and how policies affect everyday life. I earned a B.A in Applied Economics, gaining strong foundations in theory, quantitative reasoning, and policy analysis. Over 8 years of teaching, I have supported students in building confidence and clarity in economic thinking.

I value clarity and patience in teaching. My approach focuses on breaking complex ideas into manageable steps and encouraging active discussion. Students are supported in questioning assumptions and developing independent reasoning skills.

Outside teaching, I stay engaged with economic research and current policy discussions. Teaching economics is fulfilling because learners gain insight into society and decision-making. Helping students think critically motivates my work.

About the lesson

Economics lessons are designed to help learners understand how individual choices and institutional decisions shape markets and societies. I focus on building strong foundations in microeconomics and macroeconomics through logical explanation and real-world relevance. Topics such as demand and supply, elasticity, production, and market structures are introduced step by step to ensure clarity. I emphasise understanding relationships between variables rather than memorising diagrams or formulas. Lessons encourage learners to think critically and connect theory with everyday economic situations.

As students advance, lessons explore inflation, unemployment, economic growth, fiscal policy, monetary systems, and global trade. I guide learners through graphical interpretation, data analysis, and structured evaluation of economic arguments. Practice questions are discussed in detail, focusing on reasoning, structure, and clarity of explanation. Students are encouraged to justify conclusions clearly and confidently, strengthening both exam performance and analytical thinking.

Economics learning builds perspective, judgement, and structured reasoning. Students learn to evaluate policy decisions and economic outcomes thoughtfully. My goal is to help learners approach economics as a useful tool for understanding real-world challenges and making informed decisions.
