About Claire
As an experienced educator and passionate advocate for economic literacy, I bring over a decade of teaching expertise to my role as an economics instructor. My journey in academia began with a deep-seated curiosity about how economic principles influence individual behavior and shape societal outcomes. This curiosity led me to pursue advanced studies in economics, where I delved into topics such as microeconomics, macroeconomics, and econometrics.
Throughout my academic and professional career, I have had the privilege of working with students from diverse backgrounds and educational levels, from high school to graduate school. My teaching philosophy is centered on creating an inclusive and engaging learning environment where every student feels empowered to explore complex economic concepts and develop critical thinking skills.
In my classroom, I employ a variety of teaching methodologies, including lectures, discussions, group activities, and multimedia presentations, to cater to different learning styles and preferences. I believe in the importance of fostering active participation and intellectual curiosity among my students, encouraging them to ask questions, challenge assumptions, and think critically about economic issues.
Beyond the classroom, I am committed to supporting my students' academic and professional growth by providing personalized guidance and mentorship. Whether it's assisting with coursework, offering career advice, or connecting students with internship opportunities, I strive to empower my students to achieve their goals and succeed in their chosen paths.
Overall, my goal as an economics instructor is not only to impart knowledge and skills but also to inspire a lifelong passion for learning and inquiry. By fostering a deeper understanding of economic principles and their real-world applications, I aim to equip my students with the tools they need to navigate an increasingly complex and interconnected global economy.

With a focus on practical applications and real-world examples, students gain a deeper insight into economic principles and their relevance in today's society.
We begin by laying a solid foundation, covering fundamental topics such as supply and demand, market structures, and economic indicators. Through engaging discussions, interactive activities, and case studies, students develop critical thinking skills and learn to analyze economic phenomena from multiple perspectives.
As the lessons progress, we delve into more advanced topics, including macroeconomic theory, monetary policy, and international trade. Students are encouraged to explore contemporary issues such as income inequality, economic growth, and environmental sustainability, fostering a deeper understanding of the complex dynamics at play in the global economy.
Furthermore, our lessons go beyond theoretical knowledge to focus on practical skills development. Students learn to interpret economic data, conduct research, and communicate their findings effectively. Through hands-on projects and simulations, they gain valuable experience applying economic concepts to real-world scenarios, preparing them for success in their academic studies and future careers.
