About Aditya

About Me: I'm Aditya, and I teach economics at Trinity College Dublin as a Teaching Assistant - a position I currently hold while working with over 300 students across multiple courses. I'm not a tutor who finished university years ago and half-remembers the material. I'm in the classroom every week, actively teaching, marking exams, and staying current with exactly what students are learning and where they struggle. I hold an MSc in Economics from Trinity College Dublin and graduated with First Class Honors (80%) from the University of Delhi. My master's dissertation focused on advanced econometric analysis using spatial data and causal inference techniques, so I'm comfortable with both theoretical economics and practical quantitative methods. Beyond academia, I co-founded and helped grow a manufacturing company, applying economic principles to achieve real business results - 50% revenue growth and 40% profit margin improvement in the first year. This experience taught me that economics isn't just abstract theory; it's a powerful toolkit for understanding and solving real-world problems. What you can expect from me: I take teaching seriously. When you book a lesson, you're getting someone who prepares properly, shows up on time, and genuinely cares whether you understand the material. I won't waste your time or money with vague explanations or cancellations. My approach is straightforward: I listen to where you're struggling, break down the concept in a way that makes sense to you, and make sure you can actually apply what you've learned. I'm patient, professional, and focused on your success - whether that means passing an exam, improving your grade, or simply understanding economics better. You're making an investment in your education. I treat that seriously.

My Teaching Approach:
I keep things simple and practical. Economics textbooks love complicated language, but I don't. If you're confused about a concept, I'll explain it three different ways until something clicks - using real examples, diagrams, or just plain conversation. Whatever works for you.
I'm big on understanding the "why" behind concepts, not just memorizing formulas. When you actually get why something matters, you remember it way better and can apply it to different problems.
How lessons work:
Most students prefer 60-minute sessions - it's enough time to properly dig into a topic without getting exhausted. We can do 90 minutes if you're prepping for exams and need intensive help. I'm flexible.
I'll usually start by seeing what you're stuck on, work through it together (not just me talking at you), then give you practice problems to try while I'm there to help. By the end, you should feel confident tackling similar questions on your own.
My background:
I'm currently a Teaching Assistant at Trinity College Dublin managing 300+ students, so I literally teach economics every day. I have an MSc in Economics from Trinity and a First Class Honours degree from Delhi University. I've also worked in business, so I know how economic theory actually applies in real situations.
Who I teach:

Leaving Cert students who want top grades
University undergrads (all years)
Master's students needing help with econometrics or statistics
Anyone aged 16+ who wants to understand economics better

Whether you're completely lost or just want to go from a B to an A, I can help.
