About Charles Raphael
As I am still in college, I know how students often simultaneously feel like school doesn't really matter and that it's the entire metric of their self-worth. In tutoring, I have found that helping people understand that they are not reducible to their grade, but that school achievement is important, is a message students internalize not from explicit indoctrination but from positive feedback when they do well. So I will work hard to ensure that lessons are fun, professional, and that the challenge in front of the students appears only as large as it actually is.

Very patient teacher, who feels rewarded when students show an understanding of the material. I will always work with a student to make sure they are engaged the whole time and that we understand at the outset what their goals are. I believe the best way to learn things is by doing, so that will be the focus in our lessons.
