About Rachel
I am a retired teacher who has taught in both London and in South Australia.
I retired early but still want to teach part time. I have moved to Queensland with my dog, to benear family. I am living in Far North Queensland on the Atherton Tablelands and I get to go swimming in waterfalls whenever I like!
My dog is a Brittany called Duncan. He’s such a great companion and has finally stopped being naughty now that he is 6 years old,

I am a retired teacher who still has a passion for teaching literacy to beginners.
Each child grasps English in their own time and own way and for some this means falling behind. When that happens the consequences can be far reaching.
If your 5-8 year old is struggling with learning to read, they may not have the pre-reading skills embedded.
Talk to me about what you see and what their teacher is saying. I will design a program to meet the needs of your child and fill in the missing bits with you and your child.
Learning to read is the single most important thing a child can learn.
