About Michelle
I am an Early Childhood Teacher. I have taught in preschools and schools for over 17 years. I have also worked as a Reading Tutor with 'ICan Read' for 3 years.
I enjoy seeing children "light up" when they understand a concept they have been learning.

I teach the sounds of letters, syllables in words, segmenting, blending and writing through picture cards, games, puppets, work sheets, songs and books.
I use my knowledge of pedagogy appropriate to this age to make learning fun, individualised, inclusive to all, motivating and memorable. I cover phonology, phonemic awareness, phonics, comprehension, writing, social skills through play based learning. Eg Find the most pictures that start with the 'sh" sound.
