My 45-Minute Tutoring Session Structure. My goal is to make every session engaging, productive, and tailored to your child's individual needs. Here is a breakdown of what a typical 45-minute session looks like: 1. Warm-Up (First 10-15 Minutes) We start with a quick, focused activity to get your child's brain ready for the session. This is tailored to the subject of the day and often includes things like flashcards, matching games, or quick mental exercises. It serves as a gentle transition into the main learning period. 2. Main Session & Focused Work (Approx. 20-25 Minutes) This is our core learning time. I will guide your child through their assignments or lesson, closely monitoring their pace and understanding. We will work together to find that "aha!" moment by exploring different strategies and techniques. Throughout this time, I encourage your child to talk about how they feel about the subject, and I provide specific tips and tricks to help them approach their work with confidence. We aim to make as much progress as possible on their homework or current lesson. 3. Cool-Down & Summary (Last 5-10 Minutes) We wrap up by summarizing what we accomplished and focusing on the main takeaways from the day's lesson. This is when I identify any concepts that might still be challenging, which allows me to refine and improve my plan for our next session. Parent Communication & Rewards After the session is complete, I'll take a few moments to provide you with direct feedback on how your child did during our time together. We'll discuss what went well, what they are mastering, and anything we need to focus on next time. This is also the perfect time to quickly discuss any logistical details like scheduling or location. Rewards To celebrate their hard work and positive attitude, I always reward your child with a sticker or a small fidget toy of their choice at the end of every session!
