About Kassandra
I am currently a Family Service Director in charge of creating and hosting youth and family-themed events, tutoring, after-school enrichment, and holiday festivals. I graduated from National Louis University with a Bachelor's in Early Childhood Education. I have worked for elementary schools, Bright Horizons, and several athletic clubs.
I have ample experience with many different curriculums including hooked on phonics, learning without tears, learning trajectories, and World at their Fingertips.
In my free time, I love to hike and swim with my two dogs, Aite and Juju. I can be found reading or drawing in my down time and love watching a good cartoon.

I like to build my lessons around the students and their style of learning. Having worked in the teaching industry for over 8 years I understand that every learner has their own styles of learning as well as their own goals. Taking into account these learning styles and goals helps to build a plan that will work for you.
Typically speaking, a lesson plan will include time to discuss the new material, a section learning the new material, a section focused on what the student found most interesting or enjoyable about the material, then a summary and assessment of the understanding of the material.
I teach lessons for students that are 4 to 10 years old in reading, writing, math, and handwriting.
