About Thomas
I am a Durham University BA History and MA Classics graduate. I took History, English Literature and Geography at A Level. I am tutoring because I enjoy sharing my subject passion in a manner that tangibly helps people. I am approachable, able to distill complex issues into an easily understandable format and patient.

I aim to provide my students with a rigorous understanding of their subject matter. Whether that is analysis of texts; their language, themes and historical context or in-depth understanding of events, how they were perceived by contemporaries and how they should be treated by the historian. I also strive to ensure that this knowledge is recognised by examiners. I aim to familiarise the student with mark schemes and model answers so that they are able to combine their learning with the exam technique and essay structure that are necessary for high marks.
My lessons are an hour long, and are for all History and English Literature A level and GCSE students.
