About Mya
I am a Durham Undergraduate Sociology student, with a successful background in a range of subjects:10 A*s at GCSE (including mathematics) and 4 A*S at A-Level. I have achieved my Level 5 TEFL Qualification in teaching, which has given me a variety of experience.
I have spent two summers as a volunteer English teacher in Romania, providing me with a variety of experience teaching children from all backgrounds.
During Sixth Form I was a liaison officer for the PHAB team, working with disabled children of a variety of ages. I feel this to be demonstrable of my excellent communicative abilities and empathetic teaching skills.

With over two years of experience teaching GCSE Maths specifically, I have a wide knowledge of the remit of the specification. Aside from this command of the syllabus, I have a variety of experience teaching children of all ages and abilities. Consequently, I am able to provide fun, informative and well-tailored lessons. I am a good communicator and have participated in a variety of teaching roles, making me a suitable and effecive teacher.
