About Reuben
My name is Reuben Stewart. I have recently graduated from Durham University with a first class degree in philosophy. My strength is in analytic metaphysics, but I also have an interest in Kantian philosophy and philosophy of religion generally. In fact my dissertation was on the fine-tuning argument, a burgeoning argument for the existence of God.
I am patient and dedicated, graced with the former quality after years of helping my younger brother and sister with their maths homework. I really enjoy cultivating people's philosophical skills, believing wholeheartedly that everyone can begin to think more critically about the world around them.

My skills are in helping students recognise the power of structure and independent thinking. I lay out how an essay ought to be written and work with small excerpts and philosophical passages. I believe in the Socratic method, so avoid answers wherever possible, instead coaxing them out of my students.
I helped tutor fellow students while studying at university, but am also happy to tutor at GCSE/A-Level (or equivalent qualification). I also have some experience tutoring Nat 5 level mathematics.
