About Danny
I am a graduate in mathematics from Durham University, having specialised in applied and statistical mathematics, but also with extensive knowledge in pure maths. I have had experience tutoring students up to an A-Level standard, and they have all experienced significant improvement in their grades. Previous students have given very positive feedback, focusing on my attention to detail and ability to break down problems into simpler, more digestible ideas. I can provide exam tips, revision help, or introduce new topics to students depending on what it is they wish to focus on.

I like to begin by gaining an understanding of what students have learnt at school and to what level of understanding they have of the content. I find that for consolidation, students respond better to relating concepts back to what they do at school, strengthening their performance at school and general understanding of the material at hand. On the other hand, if I am teaching new content, then I want to give students an intuitive introduction, so that we don't fall into the trap of making maths about learning endless formulae.
