I like to base my lessons around the fundamentals of playing, but also keeping it interesting for the student. A student’s interest in the instrument is more important than learning all the nitty gritty stuff up front. I’d rather a student learns what they want and build the fundamentals along the way than be turned off from playing their instrument!
