About Jason
I have 5 years of experience as a math and chemistry tutor. I have prepared full lectures and on other occasions, helped students with more specific problem areas. My students have done well on their exams and in their classes following my tutoring sessions.

I incorporate a Socratic approach much of the time, meaning I am asking the student questions on how they are going about solving problems. Even if I am presenting a full lesson, then I will preface the lecture with questions to develop a grasp of where the student's understanding is in relation to the upcoming material.
My approach leans heavily on conceptual and intuitive explanations, rather than memorization. As an aid, I will take advantage of apps that facilitate the explanations in visually interactive ways. Other core techniques can include proofs.
