About Karen
I hold a Bachelor of Arts in Mathematics with a minor in English from Clemson University, a Master of Education in Secondary Education from the University of Washington, and a Doctorate from Liberty University. Currently, I am teaching Dual Enrollment Calculus and Dual Enrollment Statistics, as well as Algebra 2 and Honors High School Probability and Statistics. This marks my 11th year at my current school. Previously, I have taught Dual Enrollment Precalculus, Algebra 1, Geometry, Honors Trigonometry, and have served as an adjunct instructor at the local community college, teaching college-level courses. One of my greatest passions is helping students develop a clear and lasting understanding of mathematics.

Experienced Math Tutor – 22 Years in the Classroom With over two decades of classroom teaching and even more experience tutoring, I bring a deep understanding of how students learn math—and where they can get stuck. I’ve found that the most productive tutoring sessions happen when students first attempt their homework or classwork on their own.
