About Kerry
I am a drummer / percussionist, with over five (5) years experience teaching private lessons. Being involved with music over 40 years of my life, performing many styles, three years cruise ship work, musical theatre, writing my own music, and being part of the local music scene, I am able to focus on teaching and communicate musical ideas.
It is enjoyable when the student finally understands, grooves and moves forward with their goals/progress.
Finished a Master’s degree in Jazz pedagogy and performance (2019); Bachelor’s degree in percussion performance, and over 20 years in performance.

At the moment, Online lessons are best for me.
We will go over what you want to cover, like learning your favorite song, then move on towards tunes you would like to learn, as well as books you have. If none available, I can suggest books / videos - while keeping the learning process fun and enjoyable.
Typical lessons are usually 30-60 minutes, depending on your schedule.
First five minutes are usually getting situated, i.e. Computer issues (if Skype or FaceTime not cooperating), then on to the lesson material from last week.
Lastly, the last 3-5 minutes will recap the information we go over for the next week.
If you have any questions, please write - definitely want open conversations. Actual lesson policies are on my website.
