About Dougie
I offer friendly, personalised online tutoring for students studying Edexcel A-level Politics, with a focus on clear explanations, essay structure, evaluation and effective revision techniques. My lessons are tailored to each student's individual needs, helping them build subject knowledge, develop confidence and improve their exam technique. Having recently completed the course myself, I understand the challenges of A-level Politics and how difficult it can sometimes be to structure essays, develop evaluation and remember the evidence needed to achieve strong marks.
What I can help with:

My lessons will be tailored to each student's needs in a 60 minute format, whether that's working through a difficult topic, improving essay technique or building confidence ahead of exams and improving evidence criteria. I aim to make lessons relaxed, engaging and supportive, with clear explanations and practical strategies students can use independently.
As a recent student, I can share revision methods and exam techniques that worked for me, while helping students develop their own understanding and confidence. Alongside my academic experience, I have worked as a one-to-one drum tutor, which has helped me develop strong communication skills and the ability to adapt my teaching to different learning styles. I aim to create a supportive, professional and encouraging environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and making progress.
