About Lena

Hi, I'm Lena! I hold a Bachelor of Science in Statistics Education (B.S.) from the University of Texas at Austin, specializing in applied Statistics, advanced mathematics, and comprehensive doubt-elimination strategies for students at every level.
Six years of teaching. Over 2,800 hours in online one-on-one math and Statistics sessions — entirely through virtual platforms. My deep online teaching experience has made me genuinely skilled at spotting confusion through a screen — the slight hesitation before answering, the answer that is technically correct but delivered without real confidence, the question someone is clearly holding back. I catch those moments immediately and address them before they become bigger problems.
The approach I am most proud of — I have never let a student leave one of my sessions with an unresolved doubt. Not once in six years. That commitment has produced results that I am genuinely proud of — students who arrived failing Statistics courses consistently leaving with genuine mastery, real confidence, and exam scores that surprised even them.
A parent once told me that her son had been afraid to ask questions in his classroom for three years because he was embarrassed not to understand things his classmates seemed to find easy. After two months of my open Q&A sessions he started raising his hand in class regularly. His teacher called the house to ask what had changed. That result means more to me than any award.
I was awarded the Most Thorough and Supportive Online Math Tutor Recognition by a leading US platform for outstanding student doubt-clearance outcomes and exceptional parent satisfaction scores. No question too small. No confusion too stubborn. No doubt left behind — ever.

Hi! I teach online one-on-one live math and Statistics lessons for K-12 students, high school, college first-year, and bachelor's first-year students.
My lessons cover Basic Statistics, Descriptive and Inferential Statistics, Probability, Data Analysis, Hypothesis Testing, Normal Distribution, Standard Deviation, Variance, Regression Analysis, Arithmetic, Algebra, Geometry, Trigonometry, Pre-Algebra, Precalculus, Calculus Basics, AP Statistics, SAT and ACT Math, and College-Level Statistics.
Before every session message me with exactly what you need — one concept that will not click, one exam arriving this week, one problem type that keeps costing you marks. I build the entire lesson around eliminating that specific obstacle.
Something I am deeply committed to — complete doubt clearing every single session. I dedicate the final ten minutes of every lesson to open Q&A where students can ask anything at all — about today's topic, about something from a previous session, about something their classroom teacher explained in a way that confused them, about anything in math that has ever bothered them. Nothing is off limits and nothing is too basic. I also stay genuinely available between sessions — if a student gets stuck on homework at 9pm and sends me a message, I respond. That between-session support is something my students and their parents consistently describe as the most valuable aspect of our entire tutoring relationship.
Morning, evening, and weekend sessions available. Fully online.
