About Leila

I am a recent graduate from Cambridge University, working part-time as a tutor while I pursue further education.

I have had experience in tutoring students from the age of 9 up to 18. My focus has been on 11+, GCSE, and University admission support. I have aided students into gaining full bursaries from top London private schools and admission into universities from Cambridge to Durham.

I have worked professionally with students through The British School as a teaching intern, with Access Cambridge, and as a welfare supervisor through Reach Cambridge. Through these, I am safeguarding trained.

About the lesson

I teach through a blend of university-style lecturing in content and guided support in comprehension, writing, problem solving, and practice exams. I give space for students to express their ideas through discussion, building confidence, eloquence, and conceptual coherence. Above all, I want to pass on an enjoyment for learning.

Typically, I teach for an hour and a half with a five minute break. I set regular weekly homework for students. 11+ lessons will be more practice-exam focused. My lessons are age tailored.

Experienced in personal statement support and Oxbridge interview preparation. Can also provide tailored lessons on coursework, EE, and EPQ feedback.
