I am a recent English grad and I am relatively new to tutoring. I graduated however with a 3.5 GPA in my subject and am quite passionate to begin actually tutoring. I've aided an after-school class with various subjects and received glowing accommodations from parents.

Listening and trying to understand extenuating circumstances that may or may not be contributing to their learning is key. I believe it is every educators responsibility, in any capacity, to be an extra voice of comfort and support. I think that once this connection is established and trusted, a student's specific problems with learning can be more easily identified and solved..
