About Bhakti
I am an aspiring theatre artist. I want to teach English because of how much I enjoy reading and interacting with stories. I also enjoy seeing other people's interactions with the arts and how all of them can be united but unique at the same time. I teach primarily to observe and meet new people and new ways of seeing. I want to learn the different ways that people choose to be in this world, and I want to keep hearing more stories.

I believe learning is an everyday activity that must not be taken too seriously otherwise we lose sight of its significance. I like to approach teaching Literature via immersive and dramatic exercises that help connect to the text personally. Whether it be poetry, a novel, or a drama, in a one hour tutorial, I will be spending the first few minutes getting to know you and your interests before we move on to the text. I have been helping friends out with studying literature since I was in school. While doing my BA, I had also designed a teaching plan for students in a government school in India and the feedback was for me and my team to teach them regularly. I would prefer to teach English to students aged 11 to 17 years old.
