About Shara
You deserve a coach who understands the game as a series of logical operations. Board vision and opening principles became my focus after I realized that math and chess require the same structural thinking.
My degree from Carnegie Mellon University allows me to analyze complex positions with extreme mathematical precision. Having mentored 493 students, I know how to break down endgame technique and pawn structures.
Pattern recognition and piece coordination are the areas where I see the most dramatic improvement in my players. Calculation and visualization are vital skills I build during tournament preparation. Opening repertoire building is satisfying because I enjoy watching the pieces click together.
