About Jessica
Usually, the best part of our time together involves role play and dialogue practice that feels less like a classroom and more like a coffee shop meeting in Paris. You will find that my lessons are built on 13 years of experience, allowing me to adjust my pace to suit your specific listening practice needs. We will focus on the mechanics of liaison and vowel placement, which often unlocks the mystery of why French sounds the way it does.
Sometimes we will slow down to look at a single phrase from every angle, making sure the vocabulary building sticks in your memory for the long term. These interactions are meant to be light, encouraging, and centered on the joy of discovery. You will walk away with a clear understanding of the sounds that once felt impossible.

Holding a Bachelor of Arts in French and ESL from the University of Toronto provided the rigorous foundation for my 13 years of instruction. I remember the crisp sound of Parisian streets echoing in my childhood, which informs the way I coach students through complex nasal sounds today. Teaching both French to Anglophones and English to newcomers requires a bridge between two distinct linguistic worlds, a task I approach with patience and clarity. I focus on helping absolute beginners and travellers navigate the nuance of native speech, using my own upbringing as a blueprint for accuracy.
My sessions often center on the practical realities of language rather than dry theory, as I find that real connection stems from genuine dialogue. I have worked with many individuals who feel stuck in the middle of their language journey, helping them find the rhythm of natural speech. We spend time on verb conjugation and cultural context to ensure that every word feels intentional and authentic.
I often integrate recorded pronunciation drills for daily practice, ensuring you have a steady companion during your commute or quiet moments. The quiet confidence that comes from speaking clearly is a process that simply takes time.
