About Nathan
Music lessons begin with the Suzuki approach of listening before reading because that is how I started my own path at 7. This foundational method guides my 13 years of instruction alongside my career as a soloist touring on the road. My BMus from the Rice University Shepherd School of Music informs how I teach complex techniques like double stops and shifting positions.
I emphasize ear training and tuning by ear to build a strong foundation for every student. My approach integrates scale work and arpeggios to support advanced bowing techniques such as spiccato and staccato. Helping players move through classical repertoire with confidence remains my primary focus as a performer who currently maintains an active concert schedule.

A distinct sound of rosin hitting string marks the start of our time together. I focus on steady pacing.
You receive a monthly progress report shared with parents after every 10 sessions. These reports track your growth in sight reading and technical accuracy.
I offer direct feedback throughout our time. My 13 years of performance experience shape these evaluations. We work through the music until it feels right.
