About Melissa
As a current doctoral student, I have ongoing education and experience in psychological theory and research. I have a strong background in all areas of psychology, including developmental, physiological, and educational psychology. I also have extensive experience conducting research, and my recent work focuses on the intersection of social psychology and the law. I have presented this work at several academic conferences and I have published articles on this research. I have several years of experience as a teaching assistant as well, which has helped me develop the skills necessary for helping students understand new material and successfully navigate assignments.

Rather than stuffy lessons straight out of an outdated textbook, my approach focuses on the real-world importance and application of materials, which makes the information more meaningful and easier to digest. I understand that each student may need individualized support, and I always allow the student to guide us through the lesson. I am open to tutoring any level of study within psychology.
