About Tasnia
Hi there, I am Tasnia, a 26-year-old female doctor. Currently, I am not practising, as I am doing my master's in Cardiovascular and Respiratory Healthcare at Imperial College London, which is why I have some time to go back to doing my favourite thing—tutoring! To give a bit of background, I took my O levels back in 2013, and my result was 7A*s and 1A. I sat my A levels in 2015, with 4A*s in Biology, Chemistry, Physics, and Mathematics. I graduated as Valedictorian of my school. I am not British, but English is my first language. My most recent IELTS score is an 8.5. I enrolled in Medical school in 2016, and it was a long 6 years. During the course, I tutored A level students mainly in Biology, Physics, and Chemistry. I also had a student in Grade 9 who continued till Grade 10. I taught her all subjects, including English and Mathematics, along with the Science subjects. My tutoring experience has been incredibly rewarding. I am still in touch with all my students. Even when they are studying Pharmacology in Australia or Bioscience in the States now, years after, they still call or text me if they need advice, which may be for studies or for life in general. It’s always nice to catch up with them years after, in person or on call. It’s nice that the families also somehow always stay in touch with me—I take great pride in the relationships I have built with people over the years through tutoring. There are many different ways to learn a thing. I am also an International Federation of Medical Students Association (IFMSA) trainer and have taken many sessions for medical students on various soft skills. We design our workshops to be interactive and communicative, and I use the same principles while tutoring students personally. Also, to be honest, tutoring is a great way to brush up on our own preliminary knowledge, so it's really a win-win! Tasnia apu is my favourite! My grandmother and parents love her too. She really taught me like a sister and I did so well. One important day was when our house had a mite infestation before my exams and we moved to a hotel. She actually heard and came to the hotel to teach because she knew how nervous I was. Love her
