About Nathan
I am a botanist and educator with many years of experience in the field, laboratory, and classroom. As a graduate student I have taught and assisted in teaching college level courses in: general biology (organismal and cellular/molecular), ecology, plant anatomy, botany, genetics, and evolution.

My teaching method is largely discussion based. I determine a student's level of understanding through discussion and questioning, and aim for promoting curiosity and enthusiasm for subject matter in addition to comprehension and retention. My teaching experience has been almost exclusively with college-level material, but I am happy to work with high school students in need of support in biology related subjects.
