About Sharvari

I am a doctor currently on a current career break. I am completing 2 degrees, masters in business administration and a masters in medical education.
My future career interest lies in medical education and I aspire to work for a university.

I'm currently working in a widening participation charity for medical students from disadvantaged backgrounds as I believe education should be available to everyone and there should be no barriers for young passionate students to achieve their goals.

I taught medical students throughout medical school and developed a true passion for teaching, it motivates me to continue widening my knowledge.
I also take a special interest in mentoring students with dyslexia or ADHD, I work closely with helping them develop better studying mechanisms and schedules.

In addition to teaching, I would make sure to empower the students by offering a personalised approach to problem solving and navigating stressful events such as exam seasons. I want my students to develop confidence, resilience and wisdom which would empower them beyond exams and set them up for a successful future.

About the lesson

Newly graduated doctor currently taking a career break. Have plenty of time to dedicate to educating students and helping them achieve their career goals.
I personally secured 2 spots in grammar schools and have passed every interview for medical school!
I went to many interview courses and educated myself on the specific training that directed me towards success. I work for an organisation which provides mock interviews and one-to-one support with medical school application process.
I have a broad range of knowledge in medical education and can give aspiring medical students personalised advice for success.
I also teach maths, biology, chemistry and physics for GCSE as I achieved all A*s in the sciences.
I attended 2 secondary schools: southend high school for girls and then Parkstone Grammar school (As I moved house). Both of these were grammar schools and required passing the 11+ and the 12+ exam respectively. From my experience here I can teach verbal and nonverbal and special techniques to succeed in grammar school entrance exams.
I have had some informal experience teaching within my organisation and my siblings.

I believe education is empowering and want to make a true difference to younger individuals who are walking a similar path to me. My current charges are £18 per hour.
