About John
I consider myself to be rather adaptable. This adaptability is in regard to the wide range of academic skills I feel the confidence to teach as well as a diverse population. Over the past two years I have taught ELA, math, and social sciences in both the general education classroom as well as in a special education classroom. These skills span from early intensive phonics to 8th grade Algebra.
I am always ready to meet students where they are. I do not judge if a student is well behind grade-level in any academic area. The goal is progress. I pride myself on finding strategies that are best for the individual students I am working with.
I also love to learn from my students as their life experiences are often different than my own. When these relationships are built, academic progress is more likely to be achieved.
