About Nina

My name is Nina, and my Chinese name is Quan, which means vanilla in Chinese ancient book. I'm a native Chinese speaker living in Shenzhen, China, which is a beautiful garden city, quite close to Hong Kong. I can speak Mandarin 普通话, Cantonese 广东话, Teochew dialect 潮州话 and fluent English. Language learning is always my greatest passion and I’m so excited for the opportunity to share my learning skills with you and help you to find the most suitable and efficient way for your Chinese learning.

Apart from language learning, I enjoy cooking, drawing and working out in my spare time. I used to be an international pilots headhunter for 5 years, which allowed me to travel to more than 30 countries and meet different people from all around the world. I love talking to new people with diverse culture backgrounds. I also have 2 years of E-commerce experience and 1 year of assistant teacher at a language center.

I think learning from what you're actually interested in is the fastest way to nail a language and I do believe that we'll have a lot of topics to discuss in our class, like business, traveling, food, art and whatever you need, just let me know in advance, then we can practice together!

Hello! Welcome to my Chinese class!

你好! 欢迎来到我的中文课堂！

I provide tailored lessons for all levels of students who want to learn Chinese Mandarin. My classes mainly focus on 3 points:

1. Help you lay a good foundation for Chinese study by learning pinyin, practicing pure pronunciation, building up basic vocabulary and understanding some simple Chinese characters.

2. Help you accumulate some practical expressions that you can apply to your daily life and business activities right away after a few lessons with me through multiple field practices and role play.

3. Help you get to know Chinese culture better and have a decent amount of output in specific areas by reading relevant articles and practicing writing.

Teaching Materials:

Adults: HSK(1-6), Experiencing Chinese, Integrated Chinese, New Target Chinese Spoken Language, Business Chinese.

Children: YCT(1-6), Easy steps to Chinese.
