About Dora
As a Piano tutor with over 12 years of experience, I enjoy helping students unlock their musical potential and develop a genuine love for music. My students include school children, college learners, and working professionals at different stages of their musical journey.
My teaching style emphasises communication, flexibility, and practical learning. I adapt lessons to suit each student's strengths, challenges, and interests, ensuring an effective and enjoyable learning experience.
My lessons include piano techniques, scales, chords, rhythm exercises, music theory, sight reading, ear training, improvisation, and performance preparation. I focus on helping students build strong technical skills while expressing themselves creatively.
Apart from Piano, I teach keyboard skills and music reading. These complementary subjects support overall musical growth and help students become more confident musicians.
My goal is to inspire students to continue learning and growing through music. I create a positive and encouraging environment where students can develop confidence, discipline, and lasting musical skills.

My teaching philosophy combines communication, creativity, flexibility, patience, and goal-based learning. I believe every piano student should receive lessons that are practical, enjoyable, and suited to their personal ambitions.
Students first learn posture, rhythm, finger coordination, note reading, and music theory. Once these basics become strong, they continue with scales, chords, arpeggios, pedal techniques, dynamics, expressive performance, sight reading, and musical interpretation.
I explain every lesson using simple language and practical demonstrations. Students receive regular feedback, customised practice plans, and encouragement to ask questions. This helps them understand concepts clearly and improve with confidence.
Students also experience different musical styles and participate in creative activities such as improvisation, accompaniment, and expressive performance. These exercises encourage confidence and independent musical thinking.
Besides piano, I teach keyboard fundamentals, ear training, rhythm development, music theory, music appreciation, sight reading, and performance preparation. These related subjects help students become complete musicians.
My goal is to create enjoyable lessons where students achieve steady progress while developing strong musical knowledge and confidence.
