About Etta
Music is a universal language, and I enjoy helping students learn how to express themselves through guitar. With over 12 years of teaching experience, I work with school students, college students, and working professionals who want to learn and grow as musicians.
My teaching approach is based on understanding, patience, and creativity. I customise each lesson according to the student's goals and learning style, ensuring an effective and enjoyable learning experience.
I teach a wide range of guitar skills, including chords, rhythm training, scales, fingerstyle techniques, improvisation, and performance skills. I also cover music theory, ear training, songwriting, and musical creativity.
I focus on helping students build strong foundations while encouraging them to explore their own musical interests. Through personalised instruction, regular feedback, and engaging activities, I help students develop confidence and achieve steady progress.

My teaching methodology is based on compassion, communication, and supportiveness. I believe that every student has the ability to learn music when given the right guidance and encouragement. I aim to create a positive and comfortable learning environment where students feel respected, motivated, and confident throughout their musical journey.
I teach Guitar using a structured and progressive approach. Beginners start with posture, hand coordination, finger exercises, basic chords, rhythm patterns, and simple songs. Once students gain confidence, I gradually introduce scales, chord progressions, strumming techniques, fingerstyle methods, and musical expression. Advanced students receive guidance in improvisation, performance preparation, and creative playing.
I strongly believe in building a solid foundation because strong fundamentals help students grow faster and avoid developing incorrect habits. I encourage regular practice and provide constructive feedback after every lesson. My focus is always on quality learning rather than rushing through topics.
Apart from Guitar, I can also teach music theory, ear training, rhythm development, basic music notation, and songwriting concepts. These additional subjects help students understand music in a complete and practical way.
My objective is to help students become confident musicians while developing discipline, creativity, and a lifelong appreciation for music.
