About Christopher
I have 28 years of teaching experience and hold a Master of Science in Algebra Education. Throughout my professional career, I have worked with students of varying abilities, helping them develop stronger algebraic reasoning through structured instruction, encouragement, and consistent practice. I believe every learner can succeed when mathematical concepts are presented with patience and clarity.
One learner struggled with piecewise functions because interpreting different algebraic rules across multiple intervals often caused confusion. Together, we explored graphical representations, analyzed practical examples, and practiced evaluating functions under different conditions. As understanding improved, the student became more confident and achieved remarkable success in classroom assessments and final examinations.

My teaching philosophy focuses on transforming algebra into an engaging subject where students develop confidence by understanding the reasoning behind every concept. At the beginning of each course, I evaluate the learner's mathematical foundation, study habits, and academic aspirations. This allows me to create a personalized learning plan that strengthens essential skills before progressing to advanced algebraic topics in a structured and manageable way.
Lessons cover variables, algebraic expressions, equations, inequalities, linear and quadratic functions, graphing, exponent rules, radicals, polynomial operations, factorization, rational expressions, sequences, systems of equations, and introductory logarithms. Students participate in guided instruction, collaborative discussions, practical exercises, and independent challenges that encourage analytical thinking and mathematical communication. Every lesson emphasizes conceptual understanding while helping learners develop efficient and accurate problem-solving strategies.
To demonstrate the relevance of algebra, I incorporate examples from renewable energy systems, financial technology, architectural planning, artificial intelligence, logistics management, manufacturing processes, and biomedical engineering. Students complete regular revision activities, cumulative assessments, and application-based assignments that reinforce learning while identifying opportunities for improvement.
