I'm a passionate and patient Chinese tutor with 4 years of teaching experience. I personally achieved an A1 grade in my O-Level Chinese exam, with Higher Chinese, so I don't just speak the language – I truly understand what it takes to master it, especially when it comes to exam preparation.

About the lesson

My teaching philosophy is simple: learning should be engaging, practical, and tailored to each student. I use a communicative approach, which means I focus on helping students use Chinese in real-life situations from day one.

In my classes, I typically follow this structure:

1. Warm-up (5-10 mins) : Quick review of previous lesson + casual conversation practice

2. Core lesson (25-30 mins) : Introduction of new vocabulary, grammar points, or skills based on the student's goals

3. Interactive practice (15-20 mins) : Role-play, discussions, games, or exercises to apply what we've learned

4. Wrap-up (5 mins) : Summary, Q&A, and preview of next lesson

I believe in student-centered learning, so I adapt my teaching style to match each student's pace and preferences. I use a variety of materials including textbooks, articles, videos, songs, and real-life scenarios to keep lessons fresh and interesting. Error correction is done gently and constructively – I want students to feel comfortable making mistakes because that's how we grow!
